The air inlet is installed on the right side (passenger) instead of the short rubber trim (German model) / position light (US model).
It is used to supply air directly to the front wheel arch, where the oil cooler is located, and can prevent your 911 from overheating by concentrating the cold air supply on the oil cooler. It is therefore possible to reduce the oil temperature by up to 10 degrees.
Installation does not require vehicle modifications! Simply remove the short rubber trim / side marker light and replace it with the cooling shaft. The front wheel should be removed for assembly. Assembly takes about 15 minutes with 911 (Bj. 74-75), with the later models about 1.5 hours because of the larger oil cooler.
The scoop is made from fiberglass (lightweight part). Will fit all 911 from 1974-1989.
Can be mounted into all stock front bumpers. Two of these scoops can be used on one car for optical reasons (left/right).
Depending on the manufacturing and material, in some individual cases either adjustments to the vehicle or to our parts may be necessary. This is not a defect!
