This duck tail has to be mounted to the stock rear engine lid and replaces the extendable rear spoiler. The extension function is then no longer available and the hydraulic struts must be removed inevitably.
To ensure sufficient cold air supply for the engine, the standard fan is retained and the two air inlets on the top of the spoiler provide enough air intake. The plastic air intake grilles are included in delivery and pre-assembled. To paint the spoiler, they can be easily removed.
The spoiler form completes the vehicle silhouette and also gives the 996 a touch of "Singer Style".
The spoiler has integrated threaded inserts for easy mounting onto the standard engine cover.
Fits all 996 C2 / C4 models all years from 1998 - 2004 MK I and MK II (not Turbo / GT2 or C4S).
NOTE: To suppress the spoiler warning light in the dashboard, we recommend installing the original Porsche wiring harness for fixed spoilers (996.612.070.04), optionally you can also have the warning function new programmed in the Porsche Centre.
